2018 World Championship of Online Poker – Details
As previously mentioned the WCOOP started on the 2nd of September and will be running until the 17th of September 2018. The Championship will have over 60 different events within the 16 days with guaranteed prizes worth NZD$70 million up for grabs in the events alone. This makes it the biggest online poker competition so far.
For many of the events during the World Championship of Online Poker, Kiwi players should expect to find low, medium and high buy-ins, with entries starting from NZD$2.20 to NZ$25 000. PokerStars announced that there’s going to be two main events on the 16th of September. These two events will include a NZD$55 buy-in for a prize of NZ$1 million and a NZ$5 200 buy-in for a prize worth NZ$10 million. The gambler who takes the first place will get to walk away with a life-changing prize of NZD$1 million.
Furthermore, there will be satellites available on a daily basis in the runner-up to the main Poker Series. Each added seat for the Main Event will be NZD$5 200. PokerStars will also feature special spins and go tournaments that will award players with WCOOP entries, tickets and cash prizes. New Zealanders can find the ‘Special Spin and Go tournaments’ in the Spin and Go section, with buy-ins starting from NZ$5 to NZ$25.
