Covid-19 Restrictions Get Lifted – Details
The shift for the country to move to Level 1 means that almost all restrictions related to the pandemic will be eliminated. This makes way for what Jacinda Ardern, the Prime Minister, referred to as ‘public events with no limitations’. It includes seeing thousands of supporters packed in stadiums supporting their desired sport.
The Prime Minister also reported that both the hospitality and retail industries are back to work without any limitations too. SkyCity Casino has been in operation, but under the pandemic restrictions since the 14th of May announced to the public that all its casinos in New Zealand would be back to operating on regular hours. This was with the exception of the Wharf casino in Queenstown.
Graeme Stephens, the CEO of SkyCity Entertainment, couldn’t hold his excitement. He grabbed the opportunity to flex the company’s muscles as he expressed how much they are looking forward to having the public enjoy their plenty and diverse facets of their properties. With that being said, the Prime Minister still warned the country that there might be seeing new infections with no doubt down the road, so people are still expected to take all the necessary precautions. Following this statement, Stephens reported that they will always be committed to maintaining strong safety and health standards.
SkyCity Entertainment still expects all of its visitors and players to continue taking all the necessary measures to ensure they stay safe off the virus. They also mentioned that they would do the best they can to encourage their customers to continue using the government’s Covid-19 tracer app.
